The Pineau des Charentes Bache-Gabrielsen is made from red grape varieties from the Charentais vineyards. It is made on the day of harvest, by blending red grape juice which isrich in sugar, and a very young high alcohol content cognac.
Aged for over a year in oak barrels, the Pineau rouge Bache-Gabrielsen is like an explosion of freshly picked red berries on the nose.
On the palate, it is generously fruity with blackcurrants, blackberries and cherries, with a touch of spice and with hints of vanilla from the aging wood.
The finish has with aromas of pomegranate.
